Nonhlanhla Mayisela

Nonhlanhla Mayisela – CEO

Nonhlanhla Mayisela is a dynamic and multi-faceted individual with wide-ranging technical and market knowledge of the industry. After 15 years’ experience in the property industry, Nonhlanhla specializes in property development & investments and has vast knowledge and expertise in sourcing the end user through various networks, negotiating and concluding agreements, structuring development transactions and managing the land conversion development process.

Before her appointment, she was with the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) where she was responsible for driving the property development and marketing strategy for the four international and five regional airports owned and managed by the ACSA. Nonhlanhla holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from UNISA and a post-graduate diploma in Management from Wits Business School. She is the chairperson of the Women’s Property Network, sits on the board of the Property Sector Charter Council and a member of the South African Property Owners Association. She was also the deputy Chairlady of Investec Bank’s Employment Equity Forum.

One of Nonhlanhla’s most significant achievements to date is becoming a 2014 Fellow of the Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellowship Programme (ALTP) following a rigorous selection process. The ATLP is a multi-layered leadership learning experience that focuses on “African leadership in a Global context”.

Nomhle Gumede – Financial & Business Manager

Nomhle is a Chartered Accountant who graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours).

She completed her articles in 2016 at Investec Bank, through which she gained experience in various divisions within the bank, including a six month secondment to London where she rotated in the Group Credit division. The final year of her training was spent in Investec Property’s trading and development business as well in Investec Property Fund.

During her time in Investec Property Fund, Izandla Property was  formed and she was part of the initial team responsible for the set up and launch of the new entity. She then joined Izandla Property as Financial Manager in January 2018.

Moss Ngoasheng – Chairman

Prior to 1994, Moses Ngoasheng was involved in economic policy formulation as part of the ANC’s economic policy division and joined the Presidency as Economic Advisor to Deputy and later President Mbeki from 1995 to 2000. He is currently the Deputy Chairman and CEO of Safika Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a substantial investment holding company which he formed in 1994. Moses serves on the boards of SABSA, the South African holding company of the AB InBev, Dimension Data, Torre Ltd, Business Leadership South Africa, The Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital and other unlisted subsidiaries and associates of Safika Holdings.  He is the Lead Independent Director for Investec Property Fund Limited.

Sthembile Nkabinde – Non Executive Director

Sthembile has over 9 years financial services experience. She served her articles at PWC working mainly on Banking, Investment Management and Private Equity Clients.  She spent 3 months in the PWC Boston offices where her main client was Bank of America. After completing her articles at PWC, Sthembile joined Investec Corporate Finance where she gained experience in mergers and acquisitions, BEE transactions, disposals and JSE listings. Her clients in Corporate Finance included Business Connexion, Pick n Pay, Imperial and Altron. Sthembile later joined the Private Capital division at Investec where she gained experience in leveraged finance transactions. In 2013 she founded a Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment investment vehicle called Khulasande Capital. Sthembile currently serves on the boards of Concord Cranes, Prowalco, and CJP chemicals and is the Director of Goscor Group.

Nicholas Riley – Non Executive Director

Nick Riley joined the Fund on 1 April 2014, as part of the Funds executive management team. In 2015 Nick assumed the role of CEO until 01 December 2018 when he assumed a new role within the Investec Group, heading up the combined Investment Banking and Principal Investment businesses of Investec Specialist Bank. Prior to joining the Fund, Nick spent 9 years at Investec Corporate Finance, where he was a senior investment banker responsible for a number of Investec’s key client relationships, including all clients within the real estate sector.

Dana Lazarus – Non Executive Director

COO of Investec Property, Ms Lazarus qualified as a CA(SA) in 2001. Prior to joining Investec Property in 2005, she worked with Macquarie Bank in Sydney, Australia. Initially involved with the property investments division, managing funds on behalf of private and institutional clients, Ms Lazarus moved to the development and trading business in 2012. Appointed as an Executive Director of Investec Property Limited in 2016, she is responsible for operational and strategic initiatives.
