Nonhlanhla Mayisela – CEO
Nonhlanhla Mayisela is a dynamic and multi-faceted individual with wide-ranging technical and market knowledge of the industry. After 15 years’ experience in the property industry, Nonhlanhla specializes in property development & investments and has vast knowledge and expertise in sourcing the end user through various networks, negotiating and concluding agreements, structuring development transactions and managing the land conversion development process.
Before her appointment, she was with the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) where she was responsible for driving the property development and marketing strategy for the four international and five regional airports owned and managed by the ACSA. Nonhlanhla holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from UNISA and a post-graduate diploma in Management from Wits Business School. She is the chairperson of the Women’s Property Network, sits on the board of the Property Sector Charter Council and a member of the South African Property Owners Association. She was also the deputy Chairlady of Investec Bank’s Employment Equity Forum.
One of Nonhlanhla’s most significant achievements to date is becoming a 2014 Fellow of the Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellowship Programme (ALTP) following a rigorous selection process. The ATLP is a multi-layered leadership learning experience that focuses on “African leadership in a Global context”.
Nomhle Gumede – Financial & Business Manager
Nomhle is a Chartered Accountant who graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours).
She completed her articles in 2016 at Investec Bank, through which she gained experience in various divisions within the bank, including a six month secondment to London where she rotated in the Group Credit division. The final year of her training was spent in Investec Property’s trading and development business as well in Investec Property Fund.
During her time in Investec Property Fund, Izandla Property was formed and she was part of the initial team responsible for the set up and launch of the new entity. She then joined Izandla Property as Financial Manager in January 2018.

Veli Mcobothi – Chairman
Veli is the founder and director of Cinga Capital. Prior to founding Cinga Capital, he was a Private Equity Principal at Investec Bank Limited. While at Investec, he started and ran the Africa Division. He serves as a non-executive director on various boards of listed and unlisted companies.
Buyisiwe – (CA, SA)
Buyisiwe (CA, SA) has 13 years investment banking and private equity experience working in the Investec Corporate Finance division in South Africa (which is a top rated advisory team in South Africa). Through her role as a senior advisor in the team, she has been engaged on a number of mergers and acquisitions transaction and has developed strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical, communication and project management skills required which are key in such a role. Her role also included the provision of strategic advice to the management and boards of companies on the implementation of merger and acquisitions transactions and in particular, Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment transaction, which became one of her areas of specialisation within the team. Her private equity experience was attained at Heritage Capital, a private equity fund manager which she co-founded in 2015, raising a fund and investing growth capital in the mid-cap businesses.
Ishara Ramsunder is the founder and CEO of Catalytic Advisory. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) with over 20 years of local and international experience ranging from auditing, corporate finance, leverage finance, private equity and debt capital markets. Ishara has previously held senior positions at Deloitte & Touche, JP Morgan (London), Investec Bank, Standard Bank and Transaction Capital. She currently chairs the Investment Committee of Investec Entrepreneurship Development Trust and is a member of the Investment Committee of Khulasande Capital. Ishara is also an Audit Committee and Board member of Idwala Industrial Holdings Ltd.
CFO of Investec Property, Mr Brink qualified as a CA(SA) in 2010. Prior to joining Investec Property in 2015, he was with the Basil Read Group for 5 years as Head of Finance for the construction division overseeing the finance function in SA & rest of Africa.
Andrew has been part of the Investec Property Fund’s executive management team since joining Investec in August 2012, when the Fund held R2 billion in assets locally. Since then he has played an integral role in the growth of the Fund’s South African portfolio and the creation of and investment into the Fund’s offshore platforms, including Investec Australia Property Fund and Investec Argo UK Property Fund. Andrew fulfilled the role of Chief Financial Officer from August 2015 until 1 December 2018 when he became joint-chief executive officer of the Fund. During the course of 2017 Andrew was also involved in the setup of Izandla Property Fund (Pty) Ltd. Prior to joining Investec, Andrew spent eight years in London, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, worked in corporate finance and later headed up the team at Caesars Entertainment UK that was responsible for driving profitability and rolling out new business opportunities across the EMEA region.
