Who We Are

Izandla Property is a majority black owned property company powered by Investec Property and Investec Property Fund.

Izandla Property aims to create value to fund the initiatives of the EDT, their majority shareholder, which is a broad based charitable trust that focuses on educational and entrepreneurial initiatives, by accessing quality real estate assets and providing our property clients with a B-BBEE partner who will own, manage and develop their property assets.

Investec Property will support Izandla Property with the skills, expertise and knowledge while Investec Property Fund will serve as the capital partner of Izandla Property.

Nonhlanhla Mayisela

Nonhlanhla Mayisela – CEO of Izandla Property

Nonhlanhla Mayisela is a dynamic and multi-faceted individual with wide-ranging technical and market knowledge of the industry. After 12 years’ experience as a Property Development Manager at Investec Property (IP), Nonhlanhla specialises in property development and has vast knowledge and expertise in sourcing the end user through various networks, negotiating and concluding legal agreements, structuring development transactions and managing the land conversion development process. Before her appointment, she was the Senior Manager of Infrastructure and Property Development for Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) where she was responsible for driving the property development and marketing strategy for the four international and five regional airports owned and managed by the ACSA. Nonhlanhla holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from UNISA and a post-graduate diploma in Management from Wits Business School. She is a member of SAPOA and has sat on the executive committee of the Women’s Property Network Gauteng Chapter. Additionally, she was the deputy Chairlady of Investec Bank’s Employment Equity Forum representing IP. One of Nonhlanhla’s most significant achievements to date is becoming a 2014 Fellow of the Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellowship Programme (ALTP) following a rigorous selection process. The ATLP is a multi-layered leadership learning experience that focuses on “African leadership in a Global context”.

Mr. Fani Titi – Chairman of EDT

Investment veteran Fani Titi holds a number of degrees, including a Masters degree in Mathematics from UC (Berkeley) and an MBA from Wits Business School. Previously the CEO of Tiso, Mr Titi has been Chairman of EDT, Izandla Property’s majority shareholding, since 2005. With a strong background in investment banking, he has served at Investec companies in various capacities for over 10 years.

Sthembile Nkabinde – Izandla Property Board Member

Sthembile has over 9 years financial services experience. She served her articles at PWC working mainly on Banking, Investment Management and Private Equity Clients.  She spent 3 months in the PWC Boston offices where her main client was Bank of America. After completing her articles at PWC, Sthembile joined Investec Corporate Finance where she gained experience in mergers and acquisitions, BEE transactions, disposals and JSE listings. Her clients in Corporate Finance included Business Connexion, Pick n Pay, Imperial and Altron. Sthembile later joined the Private Capital division at Investec where she gained experience in leveraged finance transactions. In 2013 she founded a Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment investment vehicle called Khulasande Capital. Sthembile currently serves on the boards of Concord Cranes, Prowalco, and CJP chemicals and is the Director of Goscor Group.

Mr. Nicholas Riley – CEO of Investec Property Fund

Mr Riley joined Investec Property Fund in 2014 and became CEO the following year. Prior to joining the Fund, he spent 9 years in Investec Corporate Finance, focusing on mergers, acquisitions and equity capital markets. As a senior banker, Mr Riley was responsible for a number of Investec’s key client relationships, including oversight of all clients within the real estate sector. With his CA(SA), CFA and various other qualifications, he has an in depth knowledge of the real estate sector and the markets in which it operates.

 

 

Mr. Andrew Wooler – CFO of Investec Property Fund

Appointed CFO in 2015, Mr Wooler has been part of the Investec Property Fund management team since 2012. Before joining the Fund, he worked for almost a decade in London, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and gained valuable experience working in corporate finance. During this time, he lead the Caesars Entertainment UK team responsible for driving profitability and implementing new business across the EMEA region. Mr Wooler is spokesperson for Izandla Property and Investec Property Fund, applying his expertise to ensure that the interests of all stakeholders are protected.

 

 

Ms. Dana Lazarus – COO of Investec Property

COO of Investec Property, Ms Lazarus qualified as a CA(SA) in 2001. Prior to joining Investec Property in 2005, she worked with Macquarie Bank in Sydney, Australia. Initially involved with the property investments division, managing funds on behalf of private and institutional clients, Ms Lazarus moved to the development and trading business in 2012. Appointed as an Executive Director of Investec Property Limited in 2016, she is responsible for operational and strategic initiatives.
